You can feel it in the air. The Annapolis Basin Conference Centre is surrounded by a rich history, and cultures that have lived and worked together for centuries. The Mi’kmaq, Black Loyalist, and Acadian communities continue to thrive, and their vibrant contributions to the area can be seen and felt at every turn.
The Conference Centre is located close to the Town of Annapolis Royal, the oldest European settlement in Canada. Visitors come to Annapolis Royal and nearby Port Royal to appreciate the stunning historical buildings and gardens. Indeed, the colourful story of European settlement in Canada in the early 17th century —and earlier Mi’kmaq First Nations’ culture—echoes throughout the region.
